My unexpected journey at Arizona State University has been a blessing, as it has allowed me to thrive alongside like-minded individuals in the film industry. In my first year on campus, I have met talented individuals and inspiring professors, and I have been able to push myself to achieve my goals. Reflecting on my progress, I am grateful for the connections I have made and the projects I have been able to work on.
I have always been driven to succeed, holding myself to high standards and constantly striving for excellence. I have learned the importance of making connections, not only through traditional means like LinkedIn but also through social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and email. By putting myself and my work out there, I have been able to connect with experienced professionals and secure opportunities for projects.
Recently, a public post of mine caught the attention of a nearby studio, leading to two paid projects and connections with other professionals in the industry. This experience has shown me the power of collaboration and the impact it can have on one's career. As I continue my journey at Arizona State, my goal is to work on more projects with my peers and build a strong portfolio of collaborative work.
While I have only been involved in a few film projects at Arizona State so far, I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead. I hope to work with my peers outside of class on bringing their scripts to life and continue to expand my network and portfolio. I believe that teamwork is essential in the film industry and I am committed to building strong partnerships with my fellow filmmakers.
