SYNOPSIS
After the fall of gangster Bugsy Siegel's Fabulous Flamingo Hotel in 1947, NOIR ABSOLU stars the cold-hearted, stubborn and cynical private eye Winston in chilling January, following the mysterious death of his cold case assistant Calder. Winston is simply trying to enjoy a quiet birthday celebration an evening alone at the office. But how could he? His mind is racing like a mad man. As you might expect from this kind of movie, his night goes from bad to worse when Calder's widowed wife Alice interrupts his solemn affair delivering an eerie letter beyond the grave.
Lightning strikes!
Winston soon discovers that he may have just found a crucial clue that could solve Calder's case. The night then becomes a fight to survive amongst ruthless Vegas gangsters and flashy burlesque beauties.
From there, things get a little...dangerous.

key grip
Cristian torres
Cristian has loved Noir films from a very young age, and their visual style has heavily influenced his style of lighting. Cristian is extremely familiar with Tungsten Lighting (the same type of lights used in early noir films), using heavy contrast to emphasize the story, and creating sharp shadows for a more stylized look. With the use of “old-school” lighting styles and equipment, and with the help from modern technologies, Noir Absolu will be indistinguishable from old Noir classics, such as Casablanca and Double Indemnity.
